RADiCool is a mobile cooling box that quickly chills freshly caught fish and keeps them cold during transport and storage—no power grid required on the road.
Unlike standard insulated boxes that only keep already-cold fish from warming up, RADiCool passively chills fish down from warm air temperatures to near-freezing.
It works using "thermal storage" plates (called Phase Change Material, or PCM) that are frozen ahead of time at a central cooling hub. Once loaded into the box, these pre-chilled plates absorb the heat directly out of the warm fish. Because all the cooling energy is stored inside the box beforehand, RADiCool needs no batteries, plugs or heavy machinery while travelling.
